If you need a cosy place to stay and to explore London, than Barry House is a superb option. The cost benefit ratio is very good. The Lodon Paddington Tune station is 3 minutes away, lots a restaurants nearby. My favorite was the Paramount Lebanese Restaurant in the same street, just 2 minutes down the road, next to the Subway station. The hotel as such is cosy and clean and very quite. Don't expect luxuries. My room had no fridge, but the window platform served as a viable alternative. The hotel staff loaned me an adapter for the British socket. Bring your own, in case the Barry has all loaned their spare adapters. The Hilton Paddington is just 3 minutes down the street. If you are ready to spend 8 times the Barry House rate, stay with the Hilton. I would always prefer the Barry House and spend the savings for things that you can take home as souvenirs or gifts.

Perfect location, 5 mins from Paddington station. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Very clean, clean sheets and towels, towels changed every day. Kettle inside the room was very useful for morning coffee, saves money and time. I stayed there 4 nights and all the time hotel was very quiet, no drunk parties and overall I felt very safe. Shower is tiny, but works fine. No bad smell. We were group of 3 and received a room for 5/6 persons. Extremelly happy! Money/quality balance leans to quality side. Overall hotel was better than exepcted, would recommend 100%.

Small, clean single room with shared facilities an 8 minute walk between Paddington & Lancaster gate tube stations. Receptionists were friendly and efficient, the wifi good and the bed comfortable. The rooms were great value but then they were small - perhaps best consider this place as a crash pad for a few days - nothing long term. Plenty of dinning opportunities on the Paddington high street including some great Italian cafes for breakfast.

Lovely staff, larger than average room (they gave me a twin even though I only booked a single), comfortable and quiet room at top of building, hairdryer provided, tea/coffee-making facilities provided, clean bathroom with powerful hot shower, great value-for-money (£45 a night). Definitely one of the better budget London hotels I've stayed at - the overall rating by others is a fair reflection.

Claire

The hotel is in the perfect location, we stayed for 2 nights to attend a concert at Hyde Park, which was just a few short minutes away, and a short walk to Paddington station. Plenty of restaurants and bars surrounding it. The room itself was super clean, and we had no issues accessing the property. The staff were super friendly, and the hotel didn't have loud excessive noise, which was great.
